Ashira I'Adonai...

{Taken from "When You Believe" ~ The Prince of Egypt}

Many nights we've prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song
We barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains
long before we knew we could

Miriam (chorus)

There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe

Tzipporah

In this time of fear
When prayer so often proved in vain
Hope seemed like the summer birds
Too swiftly flown away
Yet now I'm standing here
With heart so full
I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words
I never thought I'd say

Miriam and Tzipporah (chorus)

There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
You will when you believe

Hebrew Children

A-shir-ra i'a-do-nai ki ga-oh ga-oh
(I will sing to the lord for he has triumphed gloriously)
A-shir-ra i'a-do-nai ki ga-oh ga-oh
(I will sing to the lord for he has triumphed gloriously)
Mi-cha-mo-cha ba-elim adonai
(Who is like You, oh Lord, among the celestial)
Mi-cha-mo-cha ne-dar-ba-ko-desh
(Who is like You, majestic in holiness)
Na-chi-tah v'-chas-d'-cha am zu ga-al-ta
(In Your Love, You lead the people You redeemed)
Na-chi-tah v'-chas-d'-cha am zu ga-al-ta
(In Your Love, You lead the people You redeemed)
A-shi-ra, a-shi-ra, A-shi-ra.......

Hebrews (Chorus)

There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe
Somehow you will
Now you will
You will when you believe......

Miriam and Tzipporah

You will when you believe

These are lyrics from "When You Believe" - soundtrack of Dreamwork's animation "The Prince of Egypt". Just sharing them here & praying that they might ignite hope within anguished souls & encourage all who read...

~Especially dedicated to those who are holding on to the Lord despite the deep shadows of the night, faithfully awaiting His glorious light to break forth, for His promises to be fulfilled, and His mighty hand to deliver them from their plight...~

+Continue to persevere with patience and faith. God bless...always...+

And according to this article, I totally agree with your opinion, but only this time! :)

Thank you so much! Although I could hardly read the fonts used here for being too faint for my poor eyesight, I used your lyrics on my edublog, making them darker and stronger - and giving you the due credit for posting them here - and it worked wonders!

I just listened to this song and felt such joy fill my heart as I sang "though hope is frail - its hard to kill". Those "deep shadows of night" fell upon my life and more so my heart long ago. And I have "waited upon the Lord" for many years. My hope held fast for over a decade until early October of this year. My distress was incredible as I felt the last few strands of hope unbraiding within my heart. At that point - when hope was about to be lost - there began a series of events and coincidences nothing short of small mriacle after small miracle. Psychology calls the phenomena "serendipity" mixed with "synchronicity" - through the eyes of faith I could see it as "God's hand" moving and acting on my behalf. It continues to the moment of reading your post. Your dedication holds every core fundamental principle given to me by God along the dark path. To look up at sky which has for so long been night and see that it is no longer black but instead a deep, rich purple has brought such joy to my sad heart. Yes, my darkness is yielding and giving way to the impending daybreak. The "Son will rise" soon :"with healing in His wings". And it shall be the dawn of a new season of my life. As I read your dedication I choked up. God spoke to me through your dedication - I could feel with such assurance Him speaking to my heart "You made it. Well done." And in reply I praised Him for His fiathfulness and His steadfast lonving kindness to me. Thank you Sasha. A-shir-ra i'a-do-nai ki ga-oh ga-oh! Selah!
